How to make the most of the Half-Term

Hello!

It's coming to the last weekend of the half term and then we'll be onto the final stretch of school before Christmas!

During half term it's important to have a little relaxation time and recover from the huge change of starting a new school year, and be ready for the upcoming challenges.

But remember, learning is all around us! Look at these following tips on how you can make the most of the time off...

  • Science -  How and why the trees (and nature as a whole) change over the autumn, ready for winter, animals getting ready to hibernate and why our days are getting shorter!
  • Maths - Getting ready for a Halloween party? How many Guests will there be? How much food and drink, chairs, treats, will you need?
  • English - Autumn is full of inspiration, so why not write a story about what you see on a walk outdoors, or how the change in season makes you feel?

Learning doesn't have to be formal, find your own way that you like best. Maybe doing spider diagrams, drawing a comic strip, writing a detailed story or making a set of instructions.

Have fun!
